Common questions
Is HisaabDesk only for IT dealers?
No. The dashboard, WhatsApp ledgers, reminders, HisaabPrompt billing and backups work for any business that uses Tally – trading, distribution, retail or service. We started with IT & electronics, so that industry pack is ready first; packs for more trades are on the way.
Does it work with Tally ERP 9 and TallyPrime?
Yes. HisaabDesk connects to Tally on your own PC and works with TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9. Your billing in Tally stays exactly the same.
Do I need internet?
No. The dashboard, HisaabPrompt and PDFs work offline. Internet is only needed to send WhatsApp / email, for updates, and for an optional monthly licence check.
Is my data safe? Do you upload my Tally data?
Your Tally data never leaves your PC. HisaabDesk runs locally and reads Tally on your own computer. We only keep your licence and contact details.
Is it really "no AI"? How does HisaabPrompt understand me?
HisaabPrompt uses fast rules and matching against your own Tally item and customer names – no AI service, no internet. You always see a draft and confirm before anything is saved.
What happens if I don't renew?
You get reminders before expiry and a grace period. After that HisaabDesk becomes view-only. Your Tally and all your data keep working normally – nothing is ever locked.
Can you make a format or report just for my shop?
Yes. Share your requirement (a photo of the format is enough) and we give a fixed quote. Custom work is delivered as your own pack, so updates never break it.
